Kent Farm

Kent Farm is located 7 miles east of Bloomington along Kent Road off of Highway 46 East. It is about 90 acres in size and consists of early successional fields and more mature forest. Dr. Ellen Ketterson (Biology) has several facilities at Kent Farm, including the Kent Farm Bird Observatory and Kent Farm Banding Station.  For more information on Dr. Ketterson's facilities at Kent Farm, visit her website. Kent Farm was the site of groundbreaking ecological work (on voles) by former IU zoologist Charles Krebs. Kent Farm is adjacent to Indiana DNR property, Lake Monroe, and Stillwater Marsh (an important waterfowl area).
